1969 bend su osnovali neki od bivsih clanova benda "Small Faces" Ian McLagan [klavijatura], Ronnie Lane [bas-gitara], i Kenney Jones [bubnjevi]. Njima su se pridruzili Ronnie Wood [gitara] i Rod Stewart [vokal] obojca iz benda "The Jeff Back" i svi zajedno su osnovali "The Faces"

Kako su godine isle bend se raspao a neki od clanova su imali veoma uspesne karijere u drugim uspesnim bendovima. Ronnie Wood se pridruzio bendu “Rolling Stones”, Rod Stewart je nastavio svoju veoma uspesnu solo karijeru, Kenney Jones se pridruzio bendu “The Who”...
